A Special Education Teacher position is available to support K-12 students in a school located in Racine, Wisconsin. This contract role spans the full school year and focuses on delivering tailored educational programs to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student assessments and goals
• Provide specialized instruction and interventions to support students academic, social, and behavioral development
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive learning environments
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to improve outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education regulations
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12 students
• Experience working with students across a range of disabilities and age groups
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and assessment methods
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and support personnel
• Classroom management skills tailored to meet individual student needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive educational atmosphere
