BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, ACTIVE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year in an elementary school setting, focusing on self-contained classrooms for students in grades K2. This contract role is located in Reynoldsburg, OH, and offers an average caseload of five students with significant cognitive and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of students with significant cognitive and developmental challenges.
  • Develop and implement specialized lesson plans aligned with K2 curriculum standards.
  • Collaborate with an advisory coaching team to enhance teaching strategies and student outcomes.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold or be in the process of obtaining an Intervention Specialist certification or a Multi-age PK12 Unlimited teaching license.
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening as per school requirements.
  • Experience with self-contained classrooms and working with young students with developmental disabilities is preferred.
