BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, ACTIVE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of educational settings. This contract position covers the upcoming school year and focuses on delivering tailored instruction to meet the diverse needs of special education learners.

Locations and Grade Levels:

  • Special Education Teacher for grades 1st through 3rd at a lower school setting in Fort Worth, TX.
  • Dual role in ESL and Special Education at a lower school in North Texas, Fort Worth.
  • Special Education Teacher for grades 6th through 12th in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student learning and progress.
  • Utilize specialized strategies to meet the academic and behavioral needs of students.
  • Monitor and document student progress toward educational goals.
  • Create inclusive and adaptive classroom environments that facilitate learning for all students.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state teaching license with certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students in the corresponding grade levels.
  • Ability to integrate ESL strategies for students who are English language learners is preferred for the ESL/SPED role.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to fostering growth and success in diverse student populations.
