BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, ACTIVE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students in K-12 settings with a focus on diverse learning needs. This contract role spans the full school year and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in inclusive educational environments.

Locations and Grade Levels:

  • Special Education Teacher for grades 1st-3rd at Prairie View Lower School, Fort Worth, TX
  • Dual-certified ESL and Special Education Teacher at Irving Lower School, Fort Worth, TX
  • Special Education Teacher for grades 6th-12th in San Antonio, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique abilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to support academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting instruction as needed
  • Support an inclusive classroom environment that fosters equity and access for all learners

Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Special Education teaching license is required; ESL endorsement preferred for dual-certified positions
  • Experience working with students in the specified grade ranges is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral supports
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with educational staff and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
