Special Education Teacher Early Childhood Setting
Location: Trenton, NJ
Position Type: Contract (Non-School Year)
Seeking experienced Special Education Teachers to support an early childhood program specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role involves working with young learners in a structured, supportive environment focused on individualized education and developmental growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with ASD and other developmental disabilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet changing needs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages social and academic growth
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with early childhood populations, specifically children diagnosed with ASD
  • Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral interventions for ASD
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to maintain detailed records and comply with program requirements
