POSITION TITLE: Special Education Instructional Assistant - SJSHS
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Services
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 8 hours per day, 160 contract days per year with benefits as specified in the Classified Agreement.

Located close to Salem and other larger towns, Santiam Jr./Sr. High School is an ideal location to teach and collaborate with educational professionals helping students achieve their limitless potential. Santiam operates on a 4 day school week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Meet the No Child Left Behind requirements: Two-year degree or college coursework, or successfully passed the Oregon Paraprofessional Exam
• Behavior management techniques and ability to work one on one with special needs students
• Successful prior experience working with children
• Type C drivers license to support with transportation of students preferred
• First Aid/CPR preferred
