MINIMUM 1+ YEARS PARAPROFESSIONAL OR SPECIAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Support students across a variety of needs and age groups in a full-time paraprofessional role within a K-12 educational setting located in Aurora, IL. This opportunity involves working closely with students who have Autism and behavioral challenges, spanning ages 3 to 21, providing essential classroom and individual assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers with instructional tasks and behavior management
  • Provide individualized support to students with Autism and diverse disabilities
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies under supervision
  • Support inclusion and engagement in academic and social activities
  • Collaborate with educators and specialists to meet student needs

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid PEL or Paraprofessional Certification is mandatory
  • Experience working with students with Autism and behavioral needs preferred
  • Ability to work with a range of ages, from early childhood through young adulthood
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable and committed to providing consistent support

Position Details:

  • Location: Aurora, Illinois
  • Contract Duration: 25/26 school year, with potential extended summer (ESY) opportunities
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 32 hours per week
  • Positions available: 5 to 6 paraprofessionals for the school year, plus 23 for summer (ESY)
