This job post is specific to our Farmingdale location for Bright Minds Learning Services is a NYS Licensed 4410 Special Education Preschool. Our goal is to provide quality preschool for all families in the community in a nurturing, loving, and developmentally appropriate educational environment. PSYCHOLOGIST / BCBA / EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT

Employment Type: Part-time salaried or Fee-for-Service
Location: Center-based Special Education Preschool (Ages 3–5)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of mental health and behavioral services for children with all disability categories
  • Develop, implement, and monitor best practice clinical operating procedures
  • Provide staff/client training and coaching
  • Support clinical-educational programming such as social-emotional learning and restorative justice
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration and measurable outcome tracking

Candidate Must Possess:

  • Minimum Education: Master’s Degree
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Social Worker
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Analyst

Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical, managerial, and communication skills
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and positive outcomes

PRESCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER (SC)

Employment Type: Full-time (10 or 12-month options)
Salary: $55,000 – $72,000 per year
Openings: 6:1:2 and 8:1:2 Special Class (SC) classrooms

Essential Functions:

  • Create a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Develop/implement classroom lessons based on IEP goals and curriculum standards
  • Write IEPs, quarterly reports, assessments
  • Maintain classroom management and supervise Teacher Assistants
  • Develop child-centered classroom displays
  • Attend CPSE/CSE meetings, staff meetings, and Bright Minds events
  • Maintain parent communication and provide training as needed

Candidate Must Possess:

  • Certification: NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities (Birth–2nd Grade or Pre-K–12)
  • Experience: Working with children ages 3–5
