Description Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm | 100% Onsite Position Summary BHA Academy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Special Education Process Coordinator to oversee special education compliance, documentation, and communication across our Academy program. This role is essential in ensuring IEP timelines, student records, referrals, and district partnerships are managed accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for families, school districts, and internal teams—helping ensure students receive the services and support they need while keeping processes organized and on track. Key Responsibilities Oversee the special education process from referral through placement Manage IEP timelines, reevaluations, progress reports, and compliance deadlines Review and maintain student records and documentation Serve as primary contact for school districts regarding IEPs, timelines, and records Coordinate referrals, intakes, and onboarding Support teachers and clinicians with scheduling, reminders, and procedural guidance Assist with MAP-A, DLM, and other special education assessments Monitor compliance with IDEA and Missouri special education requirements Identify workflow gaps and partner with leadership to improve systems Qualifications Bachelor’s in Special Education required (Master’s or administrative certification preferred) Current Missouri Special Education teaching license or administrative certification 3–5 years of special education experience preferred Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP/BIP documentation, timelines, and compliance Experience working with multidisciplinary teams Excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail Strong professional judgment and ability to manage multiple deadlines What We’re Looking For Highly organized and process-driven Strong communicator with families, districts, and teams Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment Passionate about supporting students and ensuring quality services Full-Time Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision through BCBS (6 plan options) 401(k) with company match HSA & Flexible Spending Account options Short- & Long-Term Disability PTO & Sick Time accrue starting Day 1 $100 monthly wellness spending account after 90 days OnDemand Pay (access pay when needed) Referral bonuses Why BHA Academy?
