Position Overview:

As our Special Education Specialist, you will:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with learning differences, autism, ADHD, and other exceptionalities
  • Support and coach tutors to adapt teaching strategies
  • Work directly with students in 1:1 or small group settings
  • Collaborate with families and external professionals (SLPs, BCBAs, etc.)
  • Assist with tutor training and inclusive curriculum development
  • Help manage documentation and ensure OAP or ministry compliance (where applicable)

Qualifications:
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed. or equivalent)
✅ OCT certification with Special Education AQ (Part 1, 2, or Specialist)
✅ Experience working with students with diverse needs
✅ Strong understanding of IEPs, accommodations, and inclusive practices
✅ Ability to collaborate with therapists and educators
✅ Excellent communication, organization, and empathy

Nice to Have:

  • BCBA, ABA training, or experience with OAP-funded families
  • Knowledge of Ontario curriculum (Grades K–12)
  • French or Arabic is an asset
