Blue Sea Educational Consulting, Inc. provides support services to over 80 school districts in Nassau and Suffolk County for over 15 years.

SUMMARY

This role is responsible for managing relationships with direct contacts in schools regarding the fulfillment of IEP mandates. We are looking for someone with an understanding of how to read and interpret IEPs and identify necessary information needed to fulfil mandates. Experience within in Special Education highly preferred!

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with relationship management/customer service
• Professional & effective communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively and with a team, respectfully and cooperatively
• Self-motivated and able to successfully work independently
• Experience with special education/IEPs is preferred
• Atleast 1 year experience in an office setting is preferred

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned school contacts and providers, developing an understanding of both the student’s needs and provider’s abilities
• Effectively and professionally communicate and manage relationships with clinical staff, office administration , parents and other stakeholders
• Review IEP mandates and ensure all necessary information is available to appropriately provide services
• Support providers and schools with the documentation of sessions and reports, as needed
• Ensure timely turnaround of requests and deadlines are met
