JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs, including those with autism and developmental disabilities. This role involves developing tailored educational programs that promote the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
• Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to support students’ emotional and behavioral development.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to meet individual needs.
• Provide instruction in early childhood education principles when applicable.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect among students.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
