JOB SUMMARY

Einstein Tutoring is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the Fall 2026 academic year. We are committed to supporting K–12 students with diverse learning needs, including developmental, learning, and behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will create an inclusive, engaging learning environment and work closely with students, families, and school staff to ensure individualized academic and personal growth. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and fostering a supportive environment where every student can thrive.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with children in educational settings, preferably K–12, including special education, tutoring, or intervention support.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development and learning differences.
  • Previous experience supporting students with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and progress monitoring.
  • Experience with Montessori, multisensory learning, or other student-centered approaches is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with families and school teams.

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $30.00 - $65.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student’s unique needs.
  • Design engaging lesson plans tailored to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, making instructional adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, school staff, and related service providers to support the whole child.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic success, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
  • Apply effective behavior management strategies to support learning and growth.
  • Provide targeted support in core subjects such as math, literacy, and writing, as well as executive functioning skills.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and tutoring.
