Special Education Teacher – Self-Contained (SEL Focus) Clarifi Staffing is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-year position in Illinois. This role supports elementary students in a self-contained program focused on social-emotional learning and behavior regulation. You’ll implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), provide direct instruction in academics and emotional regulation, and collaborate with staff and families to ensure student success. What You’ll Do: Create a safe, consistent classroom culture that supports growth. Implement, monitor, and adjust Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Teach and support elementary students in a structured self-contained setting. Collaborate with paraprofessionals, service providers, and families to individualize support. Provide direct instruction in emotional regulation, coping strategies, and academic subjects. Requirements Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. Background in behavior support and social-emotional instruction (preferred).
