BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, ACTIVE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available at a high school in Aurora, IL, specializing in supporting students with special needs. This contract position begins ASAP and continues through May 2026. The role focuses on delivering tailored educational support to a caseload of approximately 10 high school students with diverse learning requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a valid LBS1 certification (Licensed Behavior Specialist Level 1)
  • Experience working with high school students in special education settings preferred
  • Ability to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver instructional strategies that meet the individual needs of high school students with special needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly
