A K-12 school in Bristol, VT, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide inclusive and individualized support for students with diverse learning needs. This full academic year contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by collaborating with educators and families to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and challenges
  • Deliver specialized instruction and support across various grade levels (K-12)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure effective integration and progress monitoring
  • Coordinate services in alignment with special education regulations and school policies
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress consistently

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in special education
  • Experience working with students across the K-12 spectrum
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices
  • Effective communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced educational setting
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail for coordinating services

Additional Role:

  • Special Education Coordinator responsibilities (25% of the role), overseeing program implementation, compliance, and team coordination within the special education department
