BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, ACTIVE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

An opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students within a school setting located in Mesa, AZ. This contract role is set for the complete school year and seeks dedicated educators committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Positions Available:

  • One Self-Contained Teacher specializing in early elementary students with intellectual disabilities
  • One or more Resource Teachers to provide additional support across grade levels and needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to promote student success
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment for early elementary students
  • Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Provide direct resource support to students requiring individualized assistance within the general education environment

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education
  • Experience working with early elementary students and intellectual disabilities preferred for the self-contained position
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute effective instructional strategies in special education settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Patience, flexibility, and commitment to fostering student growth and independence
