As an Educational Technician at Pine Tree Society's Early Learning Center, you will work with the teacher in implementing/providing a modified program for preschool children with special needs in a classroom environment. You will also act as a positive role model, support and encourage increased levels of achievement to reach the child's potential, and assist in reducing behaviors which interfere with achievement of established goals as prescribed by their Individualized Education Program (IEP). An Educational Technician certificate is not required to be hired. We will help you apply for the certificate and pay your fees! Our hours are Monday-Friday from approximately 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. for a total of 35 hours/week. Essential Responsibilities: *Works under the guidance and direction of the teacher to ensure growth in child development and classroom skills. *Assists the teacher in planning and implementing a daily age-appropriate program that meets the needs of groups of children as well as individuals, providing for their health, safety and education. *Keeps written observations, Specially Designed Instruction daily notes, plan of care and all other documentation requested, on the child(ren) assigned. *Works closely with consultant/therapists assigned to the program in order to provide the most appropriate program for children.
