Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Near Gilbert, Arizona
Pay Range: $40 – $50 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Type: Full-time, Contract

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Gilbert, Arizona. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, collaborating closely with educators, support staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive environment that enables all students to succeed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid Arizona teaching certification with Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities (K-12) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and individualized learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring each student’s unique needs are addressed.
  • Deliver direct instruction and support to students with a range of learning challenges in a classroom setting.
  • Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Partner with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive practices and student success.
  • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding progress and IEP adjustments.
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with the school’s multidisciplinary team (therapists, counselors, administrators).
  • Maintain accurate student performance, attendance, and IEP records in compliance with school and district policies.
  • Ensure all practices meet applicable federal and state special education regulations.
