SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER (TERM TIME) – NEXUS PRESCHOOL

Locations: Bray, Cabinteely ( Part Time ) Lucan and Knocklyon

REQUIREMENTS:

• Level 8 or 9 degree in a relevant field such as Montessori Education, Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Care, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Must be eligible for registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland (Further Education Section).

• Implement and deliver Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s needs.
• Create a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported.
• Work collaboratively with the Behaviour Support Team to implement intervention strategies.
• Support and encourage children’s communication and social skills development.
• Teach essential life skills to foster independence in daily activities.
• Engage in structured play and interactive learning activities.
• Assist the Head Teacher in the daily operation of the classroom.
• Participate in training and ongoing professional development.
