Responsibilities
  • Meet with teachers to gather the student referrals.
  • Develop Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) in consultation with teachers and parents.
  • Complete and submit the SEP proposal workplan in September on the SEP portal and complete interim and final reports in consultation with the Lead Teacher.
  • Acquire parental consent for SEP services i.e.: speech and language, occupational therapy.
  • Complete the SEP services contract to Lead Teacher for required signatures.
  • Develop schedules for specialists, i.e.: pathologists etc. to work with students.
  • Student intervention will occur on an as needed basis and a schedule will be developed with teachers.
  • Responsible for benchmark testing and reporting occurs three times/year and reports results to teachers.
  • Benchmark testing is reported on the ALO portal and the results are printed and reported to teachers.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SEP program.
  • Consult with parent(s)/caregivers on a regular and timely
  • Advocate for the education of the children and
  • Develop and implement proposals and reports for program enhancement and
