Salary: M1 to M6 + TLR2a (£31,650 to £43,607 + £3391 per year)
The skills and experience we are looking for:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher and aspiring or experienced SENCo to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) to work closely with the Headteacher, senior leadership team, and colleagues to shape the school’s vision for inclusive education and contribute to the strategic development of our Special Educational Needs (SEND) provision.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher with leadership potential who is looking to take the next step in their career.
As SENCo, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operation of our SEND policy, with a clear focus on raising achievement and supporting the progress of all pupils with additional needs.
You will be an inspirational classroom practitioner with excellent communication and organisational skills, and a deep understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
The candidate will preferably already hold or be working towards the National Professional SENDCo Qualification.
However, if not already held, the National SENCo qualification can be completed while in post, with full support from the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, advise, and guide staff on all SEND-related matters
  • Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Lead the development and implementation of SEND policies
  • Ensure individual pupil needs are met and progress is closely monitored
  • Maintain a teaching commitment with appropriate non-contact time
