Are you someone who is keen to support students with Special Educational Needs?
Here at Axcis we have a great opportunity to work within a school in Cannock, Staffordshire as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, supporting specific individuals with a range of Learning Disabilities from Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). You’ll be expected to work with these incredible students on a 1:1 basis, helping them to learn and gain their own sense of independence.

The opportunity:

  • To become a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
  • To work and support students with ASD and SEMH
  • £90 - £105 per day, please be aware that pay rates will depend on skills and experience
  • Term Time Only
  • Based in Cannock, Staffordshire
  • Starting ASAP until the end of the academic year - Monday-Friday 08:15am-4:00pm
  • Fulltime and Part time available
  • Flexible hours available

Key Responsibilities and expectations include:

  • Working 1:1 or even 2:1 with students and building successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration.
  • Attend to pupil’s personal needs and follow any and all EHCPs in place, including being comfortable assisting with personal care when required.
  • Providing support to students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
  • Working 1:1 or even 2:1 with students and ensuring that every pupil is learning and has their full care pans followed at all times.
