WORK WITH CHILDSTRIVE TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES:

ChildStrive began as a dream shared by a small group of parents who wanted a better future for their children with special needs. Every day, ChildStrive team members continue to grow that dream through dynamic, research-based programs that improve the lives of children and families in our community.
At ChildStrive, we believe that hiring staff that reflect our multi-ethnic and multi-racial clients increases resiliency, equity, and capacity in our community. We are committed to creating a welcoming workplace for all individuals and to offer opportunities for mentorship. We strongly encourage members of underrepresented groups, veterans, multi-lingual individuals to apply for our open positions.
We invite highly skilled, dedicated professionals to join our team of therapists, educators, nurses, and counselors. We have an opportunity for an Early Childhood Special Educator in our Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program.

In partnership with a child’s caregiver, the Early Childhood Special Educator will evaluate children’s needs considering a child’s and family strengths and culture, in the areas of social-emotional, play, problem-solving, self-help skills, communication as well as sensory needs as they impact the child’s participation in daily or community routines. As a primary service provider of the ESIT team, the Early Childhood Special Educator is responsible for providing direct support and joint supports to their team and families with young children who have delays in the areas of play, basic communication, cognitive and social-emotional as well as other areas of general development. A strong emphasis is on collaborative partnership with their team as well as building caregiver capacity using coaching practices to understand their child’s unique strengths and support their child to successfully participate in daily routines and community opportunities. We are looking for team members who will embody ChildStrive’s mission, uphold our core practices/principles which include trauma-informed care, restorative practice, multi-generation, reflective practice, coaching and the use of evidence-based brain science. Someone who values relationships as the foundation of our work, takes risks, upholds multi-dimensional expectations, yet adapts quickly.
