Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher (K–1) ​ Michigan | Full-Time | 2026 Spring Term We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support a K–1 cross-categorical classroom in Michigan for the remainder of this school year. This full-time role involves working with a small caseload of approximately 10 students and is well suited for an educator who values teamwork, individualized instruction, and inclusive practices. In this position, you’ll provide structured, developmentally appropriate instruction that supports academic progress, social-emotional development, and positive behavior. You’ll create a nurturing classroom environment where young learners feel safe, supported, and motivated to succeed. The role also emphasizes collaboration—you’ll work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to implement effective strategies and ensure each student’s needs are met consistently across settings. Requirements Candidates must hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement (cross-categorical or equivalent). A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education is required, and prior experience in instructional or self-contained classroom settings is strongly preferred.
