PIE Management, a local staffing firm, is hiring for one (1) Special Events Equipment Aide Assistant. This is a seasonal position. This position provides physical support to and assists in the planning and coordination of Special Events through early Fall. The position is directly responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, delivery, setup, and retrieval of a local municipality’s Special Events rental equipment. This position directly interacts with the public and will need to be able to work independently and as a team. This individual will have an opportunity to participate in special assignments and projects, which will enhance their career development and growth.
The schedule for this position will be: Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The wage is $17.00/hr.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:

· Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license
· Ability to lift and carry 60+ pounds
· High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
· A self-starter who is resourceful and takes initiative
· Highly organized and efficient with excellent time management skills
· Able to multi-task and adjust to constantly changing priorities
· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work well under pressure
· Good verbal communication skills
· Available to work evenings and weekends

OTHER NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:

This position works with all organizers, vendors and producers to plan for successful and safe events. This includes sporting events, concerts, parades, festivals, street fairs, etc. The selected candidate should have a solid understanding and appreciation for a diversity of events and programs and be capable of working on multiple projects with a wide variety of partners, including staff, management, and community members.

Responsibilities

The candidate must present a positive and professional image at all times. Work is performed under the direction of Aides and a Manager, who will give guidance and assistance with some independence in the work routine.
