JOB TITLE: SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: Philanthropy
COMPENSATION: $70,000 - $75,000 (DOE) Full-time, in-office position.
BENEFITS: Health, dental, vision insurance. 403(b) with company match. Complimentary tickets to Playhouse performances. Paid on-campus parking. 2 weeks paid vacation (years 1 and 2); sick leave time; 11 observed holidays.

REQUIREMENTS AND PROFICIENCIES:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience producing and managing events of up to 500 people (experience in a nonprofit environment a plus)
  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and work events in evenings and weekends
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with attention to detail and meet goals and deadlines
  • Familiarity with donor databases (Tessitura preferred) and event planning software.
  • Passion for the arts and a commitment to cultural engagement.
  • Professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively manage all levels of staff, volunteers, Board of Trustees and interns
  • Flexibility and adaptability are core to success in our philanthropy department
  • Multitasker with the capacity to work comfortably in a fastpaced and everchanging environment on multiple, ongoing projects.

  • Ability to drive, stand on feet for 8 or more hours and to lift up to 25lbs
