Key Responsibilities
*
Provide personalized and exceptional guest service at every opportunity.
*
Achieve established upselling and sales targets.
*
Coordinate closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure all event details are executed flawlessly.
*
Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for all group functions.
*
Collaborate with various outlets to finalize event details.
*
Manage bookings for outside activities and handle related billing documentation.
*
Attend daily operations and function meetings.
*
Handle walk-in inquiries and incoming requests professionally.
*
Be present on-site for events they coordinate.
*
Assist in resolving guest complaints promptly and professionally.
*
Support service staff (servers, bartenders, porters, bussers) during peak times.
*
Ensure timely completion of tasks and deadlines as set by the Food & Beverage Manager.
*
Handle client billing for events and related services.
*
Maintain thorough knowledge of the property’s products and services.
*
Anticipate guest needs and suggest additional services or upgrades.
*
Provide tailored recommendations to meet guest preferences.
*
Actively look for opportunities to exceed guest expectations.
*
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Secondary Responsibilities
*
Serve as Outlet Supervisor when needed, including leading service teams and managing reservations and billing.
*
Take on Duty Manager shifts when required.
Professional Requirements
*
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*
In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations.
*
Understanding of conference and catering event processes.
*
Post-secondary education, preferably in hospitality or a related field.
*
Minimum two (2) years of experience in banquets, catering, or event planning.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with event and hospitality systems (e.g., Maestro) is an asset.
*
Experience in upselling and/or sales is an advantage.
