Job Summary: The Special Events Manager is responsible for coordination of all the agency special event logistics. Create and manage the timeline and task list/plan for all UCP hosted special events including annual Gala, Breakfast, Golf Tournaments, Staff Recognition and Retention events and Book Buds Coordinate all logistical elements of the agencys special events. This includes, but is not limited to, food and beverage, table set up, silent and live auctions, committee support, mailings, follow up, venue coordination, production elements, onsite coordination, etc. Assist in soliciting of silent auction and table sponsorships. Organize and lead collaboration with the Marketing Team on event concept, graphic design/production/printing, external communication, and event marketing (including social media/website). Keep track of event finances including check requests, invoicing, and reporting. Produce accurate reports to be utilized for database/mailing/programs, etc. Ensure that the donor database is maintained for all event donations (including sponsorships/in-kind donations, table sales etc.) and thank you/acknowledgement are completed timely and accurately. Assist in coordinating and implementation of social media related to development/fundraising activities. Identify and assist in the content development of the UCP website related to development. Update Monthly Development Dashboard Report Assist with the creation and implementation of the Annual Development Plan Other duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation and Training: Bachelors degree preferred in related field (extensive related job experience may substitute) Minimum Experience/Skills Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills; 3+ years demonstrated success coordinating large (500+guests) special events Proven track record of generating revenue from events Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication Proficiency in Microsoft office suites and other Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; Ability to travel in geographic area and work flexible hours, including some nights and/or weekends; Ability to build rapport and build relationships with internal team members and external supporters, donors, and volunteers; Demonstrate excellent judgment in maintaining confidentiality;
