GENERAL DESCRIPTION This position is for an entry level employee while learning policies, procedures, and specific knowledge requirements for the Special Missions Technician position. The employee will normally be in this position for 6-24 months and will be promoted to Special Missions Technician when evaluated to have gained the requisite knowledge and training. This position is heavy in Avionics. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •    Performs repairs, modifications, and installations on company aircraft.  •    Able to deploy and operate equipment in company aircraft in support of flight operations and testing. •    Able to perform work on various aircraft such as power distribution, wiring and control systems.  •    Maintain a good working relationship with customers and government representatives.  SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS •    Ability to obtain secret security clearance. •    Required to obtain and maintain a valid US passport. •    3+ years of applicable electronics experience. •    Working knowledge of how standard electronics components work in circuit (radio frequency theory, relays, diodes, resistors, capacitors, IC’s, transistors, switches, circuit breakers, etc.) •    Aircraft installation experience useful.   •    Deployment will be required internationally and in the US, usually not to exceed 30 days.  PHYSICAL DEMANDS •    Talk and/or hear regularly throughout the day. •    Sitting is required as needed. •    Standing and walking on occasion. •    Climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed. •    Use fingers and hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms to perform work duties as needed. •    Lift and/or move up to 55 pounds frequently and at times in small confined spaces. •    Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus throughout the day.
