Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Year’s Support Worker to join our outstanding team. As an Early Years Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to children with special needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Provide support and assistance to children with special needs in their daily activities
- Assist with personal care tasks, such as nappy changes, toileting and dressing
- Create and implement educational activities to promote learning and development
- Communicate effectively with the children, their families, and other team members
- Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and educators, to create individualized plans
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, if necessary
- Accompany children on outings.
Experience:
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred
- Knowledge of special education principles and techniques is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with individuals of all ages
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with diverse needs
- Familiarity with toddler care practices is beneficial
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYF’s)
