ABOUT THE ROLE:

At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting teaching assistants for over a decade, so we know a bit about finding the ideal school for you. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis temporarily at a fantastic primary school in North Wakefield on a full time basis starting from September 2025.
We are on the look out for applicants with professional experience with any of the following needs;
– Autism

OUR SPECIAL NEEDS TEACHING ASSISTANTS’ DUTIES CAN INCLUDE:

• Working with small groups of pupils
• Working on a one-to-one basis with children with additional needs
• Providing personal and emotional care for pupils when needed
• Managing classroom behaviour
• Providing intervention/SATS support for students
