Justteachers are looking for an experienced teaching assistant or support worker with a passion for working with special needs to join one of our partnership SEND schools in Warrington. This special needs teaching assistant role is full-time starting in September.
This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) such as ASC (Autism Spectrum Conditions), ADHD and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will join a supportive team in a welcoming SEND school, committed to ensuring every child feels supported, valued, and encouraged to achieve their best.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to transition from working with adults to children in an educational setting, within a warm and inclusive community-focused school. The school offers a path for progression and the opportunity of a full-time contract.
Position: Special Needs Support Assistant
Location: Warrington

Duration: Trialling immediately
Daily Rate: £89.05-95 a day
Working Hours: 08:30am – 15:30pm, Monday to Friday

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working with adults or children with complex or SEN needs within the last two years, preferably in a care home, healthcare, residential care setting, SEN/SEMH school, or PRU.
  • Dedication to the development and learning of students with SEN, with a desire to make a positive impact.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for working effectively within a professional environment.
  • Ability to establish rapport with students and demonstrate empathy towards their challenges and behaviours.
