Justteachers teaching agency are currently recruiting a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Wigan. This is a full-time, long-term role to start as soon as possible. This role will continue for the full academic year so it does require someone who is able to commit to this.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working with children with SEND in a school or care setting
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting learning and behaviour
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Justteachers)

This role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, helping pupils engage in learning and make meaningful progress.
