SPECIAL OPS OPERATOR DEPARTMENT: Special Ops JOB TITLE: Special Ops Operator REPORTS TO: Special Ops Team Leader SHIFT / HOURS: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (1st shift 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM; Mandatory OT as needed) STARTING PAY: $18.66 POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our Special Ops Department. Special Ops Operators support just-in-time (JIT), time-sensitive customer orders by building carriers and preparing, racking, unracking, packing, and banding Special Ops material. This role is critical to maintaining quality, productivity, and on-time delivery for our customers. THINGS YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR * Build carriers as instructed by the Special Ops Team Leader. * Prepare, rack, unrack, and pack Special Ops material with a strong focus on quality. * Maximize square footage when racking parts. * Perform production and quality checks during unracking. * Pack parts with or without specific packing instructions, including required separations. * Band and prepare packed material for shipping. * Maintain safety, housekeeping, quality, and productivity to meet daily goals. * Communicate information with Team Leaders to maximize workflow and productivity. * Adjust racking plans as necessary to meet customer and part requirements. * Collect and document production and quality data for review. * Remain aware of job-related hazards and follow all safety procedures. * Wear required PPE at all times. THINGS YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE * Ability to work well with others in a team environment. * Dependable attendance and punctuality. * Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity. * Ability to communicate effectively with Team Leaders, Supervisors, and coworkers. * Ability to count parts and perform basic math calculations. * Basic understanding of anodizing processes and how racking affects quality. * Ability to distinguish between good and bad racking materials and carrier components. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS * Medium to heavy physical demand. * Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, balancing, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods. * Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance. * Constant lifting in the 1–20 lb range. * Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts and associated hazards. REQUIRED PPE * Safety glasses or prescription safety glasses. * Safety toe footwear. * Arm guards and gloves. * Hearing protection. * Protective headgear and additional PPE per employee handbook.
