Description

Description Serve as a Special Operations Assault Zone Controller, in support of the 27th Special Operations Wing (27 SOW) at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Personnel should have previous qualifications/experience as Combat Controllers, Landing Zone Controllers, Landing Zone Safety Officers, Drop Zone Controllers, or USAF ATC Controllers. Further defined as former Aircrew/Spec Ops/USAF ATC Controllers/AMLO type personnel that have previously been qualified LZC/LZSO/DZCO/DZSO. Personnel should possess or be able to pass a flying class II physical for LZC duties, but not required for LZSO, DZSO or DZC duties. CONUS/OCONUS travel as required. No relocation assistance is provided for this position. Requirements Secret clearance is required. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal. Start Date: Contingent upon incumbent’s departure.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Special Operations Assault Zone Controller supporting the 27th Special Operations Wing. Manage landing and drop zone operations to ensure safe and efficient aircraft movements.
