Description
Position Summary This role is to tends equipment that chemically cleans grease, scale, dirt, and other foreign matter from titanium and cobalt forgings to prepare them for processes such as benching, sizing, and heat treating of product by performing the following duties.  Principle Responsibilities * Immerses forgings in chemical and rinsing solutions. * Mixes acids and maintains consistency of solutions by adding specified amount of chemical to solutions. * Regulates temperatures of acid solutions. * Drains, cleans, and refills tanks with chemicals.  Dries parts. * Loads and unloads parts in furnaces. * Sets and records temperatures per customer specifications. * Performs preventative maintenance on furnaces. * Monitors and records all associated dimensions on the product to ensure conformance to all customer specifications. * Completes quality documents, such as routers, tags, SPC Charts and logs and furnace charts. * Maintains housekeeping and safety standards in work area. * Additional duties as requested by management.   Qualification Requirements Credentials/Experience: * High School diploma or general education degree   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, height gages, and comparators. * Knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.   Other Requirements Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
