At Summit Solutions Group (SSG), we are the mission support arm of the Summit Point Training Facility. As a dedicated US Government contractor, we specialize in delivering comprehensive solutions that ensure operational excellence and mission success. WHAT YOU’LL DO The Special Programs Project Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing all phases of establishing a new U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility. This role ensures the facility fully meets ICE Detention Standards (PBNDS/NDS) and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. The individual will serve as the central point of coordination between Summit Point leadership, the U.S. Government, and regional stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and successful facility setup and operational transition. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Lead and manage all aspects of the ICE detention facility setup—from concept and site development through certification and operational readiness. Ensure full adherence to ICE Detention Standards, OSHA, ADA, and relevant federal, state, and local building and operational codes. Act as the primary liaison with ICE, DHS, state and local government agencies, law enforcement, emergency services, and community partners. Manage subcontractors, architects, engineers, and service vendors to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. Develop and maintain integrated schedules, budgets, and performance reports; provide regular updates to the President and executive leadership. Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and track resolution of key issues. Coordinate with internal and external teams to transition from construction and setup to full operational capability. Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including reports, certifications, and inspection results. Requirements Job Requirements and Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Criminal Justice, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 7 years of project management experience, ideally involving federal or secure facility development. Direct experience working with federal agencies such as DHS, ICE, or DoJ. Comprehensive understanding of ICE Detention Standards (PBNDS/NDS) and related compliance processes. Proven track record managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
