Job Details Job Location: Phoenix-420 Building-Office - Phoenix, AZ 85009 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Shift: Day Job Category: Operations Employee Value Position: Critical to the needs of our facility, the Special Project Lead role is responsible to execute and report on all assigned projects by the Executive VP of Fabrication related to shop fabrication, production, scheduling, quality, product shipping and maintenance. Key Performance Objectives: Ensures that production staff is adhering to all applicable safety standards; Provides guidance, instruction, direction and leadership while directly supervising production staff to meet the established production and quality standards; Provides the team with the scope of the project objectives; Meets project objectives by forecasting job requirements and potential barriers Works with established priorities, controls process and works with presenting solution to resolve issues to maintain project goals. Assures compliance with corporate regulations pertaining to Human Resources and Safety. Works to improve production processes and procedures. Work Experience/Education High School Diploma or G.E.D. 10 years as a structural steel and equipment experience. An advanced degree or training in a related discipline may substitute for 3 years of experience. Specialized Skills & Knowledge Certificates & Licenses Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of: Applicable federal and state building codes and ordinances; production/material specifications related to the fabrication and erection of structural steel. Demonstrated ability to coordinate work/ship schedules; ability to generate and comprehend functional statistical data and financial information. Software & Technology The position will require the frequent use of MS Office Suite and Bluebeam PDF. Working knowledge of STRUM.I.S. or other production control software preferred. Work Environment Position requires as many hours as needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the functions. Working long days including evenings and weekends can be required for this position. This position is generally outdoors within the plant facilities. Plant walkthroughs and visitations may occur where exposure to typically hot, cold or wet conditions occurs. Wearing of proper safety equipment is essential. Temporary living arrangements will be determined prior to departure to the job site assignment.
