The Special Projects Manager is a high-impact, strategic role focused on driving key initiatives, enhancing executive effectiveness, and ensuring operational excellence across the Mercury team. This individual will play a vital role in special projects, cross-functional coordination, and team experience, serving as a right hand to leadership. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized and proactive, and can flex between strategic and tactical execution.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects: Lead and execute cross-functional projects and initiatives based on evolving organizational priorities. Act as a thought partner and operational support to senior leadership.
  • Executive Effectiveness: Partner closely with the executive leader to manage high-visibility engagements including media appearances, external speaking events, and internal moments like Village Gatherings. Ensure a polished and consistent “Mercury experience.”
  • Team Operations and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and workflows. Propose and implement improvements that increase efficiency, clarity, and impact.
  • Team Coordination: Facilitate communication and alignment across the team. Identify gaps, remove blockers, and support collaboration to keep initiatives on track.
  • Culture and Engagement: Partner with internal stakeholders to design and execute team experiences, events, and cultural initiatives that build connection and morale.
  • Organizational Support: Support change management, onboarding for new leaders, and talent-related transitions by ensuring smooth communication and coordination across stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage select administrative processes and internal operations that contribute to an organized, effective, and efficient team environment.
  • Office Experience Oversight: Collaborate with internal partners to ensure the physical and virtual workplace experience is seamless, well-resourced, and aligned with team needs.
  • Flexible Execution: Willing to stretch both strategically and tactically, adapting to the needs of the team and stepping in wherever needed to move work forward.
