QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Completed Facility Security Officer training through CDSE.
  • Knowledge of security policies and procedures, including the National Industrial Security Program Supplement and DoD 5105.21 volumes 1-3
  • Experience with planning or accrediting facilities in accordance with the ICD 7051 standard.
  • Experience in managing Special Access Program administrative requirements.
  • Master’s degree in a related field and more than three years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience, or ten years of direct work experience.
  • Valid US Passport
  • Current DoD TS/SCI, or ability to obtain.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
  • Current Counterintelligence Polygraph or willingness to take.

Desired:

  • More than seven years as a SSR Administrator.
  • More than seven years of operations-intelligence and or security assessment support and analysis experience within the DoD or IC.
  • More than seven years of military experience, and/or a combination of military and IC Agency experience.

Responsibilities
  • Implements policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
  • Evaluates, maintains and/or operates policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
  • Works to determine who should have classification authority and reviews plans for document and access controls, transmission of sensitive information and materials, and related information controls and safeguards.
  • Conducts surveys of industrial or other private facilities to determine the organization’s eligibility to work with and store classified and sensitive information.
  • Orients contractors to the security program and assists in initiating the measures necessary to bring a facility up to established standards.
  • Develops security plans including, but not limited to, access to grounds by employees, vendors, Government personnel, and others; badge and pass systems; and clearance records and controls.
  • Conduct security inspections and site security visits; develop findings and recommendations for changes or modifications to correct or improve special security.
  • Assist in developing local security guidelines.
  • Assist in tracking official and nonofficial security taskers.
  • Assist responsible badging custodian with the accounting of access cards and badges.
  • Assist in screening and verifying employees’ authorized accesses.
  • Assist in verifying badging station data elements are completed and correct before creating both collateral and SCI level security badges.
  • Conduct checks on issued badges to ensure proper recovery and destruction and determine expiration, surrender or extension requirements.
  • Brief incoming personnel on security badge duties and responsibilities.
  • Assist in random security checks at USASOC facility entrances and work areas.
  • Assist in monitoring badging and control stations for errors or alarms.
  • Assist in maintaining and verifying logs of approved visitors.
  • Provide physical security and access control technical guidance for collateral and SCI facilities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of physical security standards and procedures.
  • Conduct in-depth physical security vulnerability assessments for the protection of classified material.
  • Coordinate with access control provider to resolve system and network issues.
  • Assist in the SCIF accreditation process.
  • As required, you will brief assessments and may represent the client organization in fielding SSR or technical questions to support key assessments. You may serve as a client liaison and coordinate with government personnel, technical experts, and sub-contractors.
