VMG is seeking highly qualified Special Topic Experts to support targeted technical assistance (TA), research, training, and tool development efforts under the HRSA Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP). These consultants offer deep expertise in complex or emerging HIV-related focus areas such as ADAP, implementation science, strategic planning, workforce development, or health policy. Special Topic Experts are called upon for discrete, high-value assignments aligned with HRSA’s evolving priorities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Recognized expertise in a relevant technical area such as ADAP, strategic planning, implementation science, or HIV policy
• Demonstrated experience supporting federal HIV programs, public health initiatives, or technical assistance activities

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to produce high-quality work within tight timelines
• Availability for short-term, task-specific consulting engagements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Special Topic Expert will:

• Provide targeted consultation in response to HRSA requests or project needs
• Contribute expert insight to toolkits, policy briefs, curricula, and TA resources
• Support the design and delivery of webinars, workshops, or collaborative learning sessions
• Offer strategic recommendations to enhance RWHAP grantee performance in specialized domains

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Deliver TA engagements related to their area of technical expertise
• Advise internal teams on content development, messaging, and implementation strategies
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and reviews of specialized tools or frameworks
• Collaborate with other consultants to produce cohesive, evidence-informed deliverables
