Special Workholding Design Engineer
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking for a Special Workholding Design Engineer, preferably with a minimum of 3 years of special workholding experience to join our existing team in Nottingham.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in using 3d CAD Programs NX or SolidWorks
The role is office based and will include working closely under the supervision and guidance of the Chief Design Engineer, covering all areas of design, manufacture, and project management within Special Workholding and fixtures.
Any necessary training will be given to the selected candidate. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in following a career path in design engineering. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects throughout the UK.
Pay is dependent on experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Meeting with clients to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
Planning and executing mechanical designs using 3D CAD programs (NX & or Solidworks).
Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.
Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
Adhering to project timelines & resources.
Liaising with clients, designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.
Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.
