WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence
  • HR truck licence or equivalent
  • VOC licence (minimum) or the ability to demonstrate competency of industry equipment
  • Previous experience operating heavy forestry machinery
  • First Aid Certificate + CPR
  • Ability to travel and work away on a roster for up to 3 weeks
  • C2 – C6 Crane Operator Ticket preferred

The successful candidate should hold C6 & Dogging qualifications with a current High Risk Work Licence and a considerable amount of experience (desired) working on large scale vegetation clearing works, as well as the flexibility to travel interstate and live away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time.

  • Our current project is working 19 days on, 9 days off roster between 10-12 hour shifts on 6 day weeks
Responsibilities

The key responsibility of this role is to operate the specialised Magni Telehandler with a Westtech Woodcracker CS750 cutting head, safely and effectively, as well as ensuring the safe trimming, dismantling and removal of trees. All formal training, certificates and qualifications will be provided by Active Tree Services. You will rotate throughout the day between duties such as:

  • Maintenance checks and conducting risk assessment
  • Complex JSA completion
  • Implementing job methodologies
  • Ensure work is conducted in line with SWMS (safe work method statements)
  • Planning and prioritising site works
  • Ensuring safety of all team members
  • Safe and efficient operations of machine
