We have an opportunity for a motivated, forward thinking and dynamic physiotherapist wanting to gain further experience and knowledge in this field at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This post will offer the post holder the opportunity to work as part of an evolving Pelvic Health team. Our team receives referrals from an established MDT of consultants and GPs regarding urology, urogynaecology, obstetrics & colorectal teams, which results in patients of all genders being treated by our team.
We are aware of the difficulty in accessing clinical experience in this area and so we are willing to consider supporting the successful candidate through a developmental competency framework to achieve the full specification.
The post holder may be based within a therapy team in outpatient settings at both Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospital.
Candidates must have a Physiotherapy Degree and have HCPC registration.
They should also have good post graduate experience in MSK & Pelvic Health, and recent experience working in the NHS.
Post graduate CPD and experience of working in Pelvic Health would be helpful however we are willing to support successful candidates through a competency framework to achieve the full specification.
A British driving license is desirable, as is access to a car (reasonable adjustments will be considered)
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of specialised Physiotherapy to support patients with a variety of pelvic floor conditions. The case load will be a mixture of obstetric musculoskeletal, urogynaecology & colorectal work of all genders. Successful applicants will also be involved in MDT case discussions.
All staff have access to regular clinical reasoning and supervision sessions and ongoing support from senior clinicians and the wider MDT. All staff take part in the Appraisal system and have access to regular IST specific to the speciality. There will be the opportunity to take part in M level post graduate training or work through a competency framework to acquire skills/knowledge to achieve the full role specification. The role will involve supervision of Physiotherapy students,
The role will also involve participation in service development, audit and clinical governance.
