Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in the North Westminster Community Mental Health Hub as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary service. The service supports a diverse clinical population, which includes people with severe and enduring mental health problems including psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, PSTD and complex PTSD, complex emotional needs, and recurrent depression.
The post holder will be expected to provide specialist psychological assessment and to deliver effective evidence-based interventions and to provide advice, consultation and training on aspects of psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines as well as to the rest of the MDT.
Excellent psychological assessment and intervention skills are required. We are particularly interested in candidates with interests in specialist therapies such as CBTp, Family Interventions (FIP), EMDR, third-wave approaches such as ACT, CFT or DBT, and Systemic/Narrative approaches and with prior experience of running groups.
We are looking for well-rounded and experienced practitioners who are able to work proactively, with confidence and motivation, showing initiative which has contributed to the development of the service. We prioritise collaboration within our team and with our community partnerships, so we are hoping to find candidates who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will allow them to thrive when working within their own team and with external partner organizations, in order to provide a meaningful service to the diverse populations we serve.
Our staff demonstrate an interest in providing a high level of service for service users and carers as well as an interest in service development.
The post holder will have a strong commitment to the recovery model, multi-disciplinary working, service user and carer involvement, and working with people who are cautious about engaging with mental health services. The post holder will contribute to and support the development of the group and psychosocial programme that we provide in North Westminster. Joining our Adult Psychology Service within North Westminster Community Mental Health Hub offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in psychosocial interventions for complex difficulties and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
