Job Title Senior Network Security Engineer PCN Palo Alto Firewall
Location Houston Texas
Experience Required 15 years in PCN routing switching and security
Role Overview
The Senior Network Security Engineer will lead the design implementation and support of secure network infrastructures across Process Control Networks PCN focusing on Palo Alto firewall technologies This role demands deep expertise in industrial network systems cybersecurity and operational technology OT environments The engineer will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure robust compliant and resilient network operations
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Palo Alto firewall configurations including threat prevention
Lead PCN network architecture initiatives including segmentation zoning and conduit mapping
Manage routing and switching infrastructure Cisco HP including VLANs port channels and QoS policies
Oversee firewall registration compliance and lifecycle management using tools like Panorama AlgoSec and SNCS
Support UPN authentication transitions and troubleshoot access issues across Panorama and firewall devices
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment with Chevrons IT standards and digital architecture
Participate in weekly PCN OT support connects and compliance reviews to align with evolving operational metrics
Required Skills Certifications
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer PCNSE
Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP or equivalent
Deep understanding of PCN security zones conduits and industrial protocols
Experience with Panorama SNMP and dynamic updates in firewall environments

Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow and compliance frameworks IRM SOR

Collaboration Stakeholders
Work closely with LTIM Service Delivery customer and OT teams
Coordinate with field services DDI teams and network product lines
Engage with internal audit IAM and cybersecurity teams for compliance and resiliency
