JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A doctorate in a relevant field (e.g., Curriculum and Instruction, Assessment and Evaluation, Learning Sciences) is required. A master’s degree in the related field may be considered if there is sufficient evidence for fulfilling the remaining job requirements.
  • Specialisation in assessment design and implementation (formative and summative), and evaluation of curriculum programmes for adult learners.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the field of curriculum quality assurance, assessment, and evaluation.
  • A deep understanding of and ability to translate educational theories into practical and effective assessment and evaluation strategies for adult learners.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in an academic environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    The successful appointee will be based in IAL Campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute next to Paya Lebar MRT station.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive quality assurance framework for curriculum, including formative and summative assessment strategies.
  • Conduct rigorous evaluations of curriculum programmes to ensure they meet the needs of adult learners and are aligned with industry and academic best practices.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to curriculum developers and adult educators on the translation of learning theories into effective assessment and evaluation practices.
  • Provide consultancy for training organisations to uplift their capabilities in training programmes evaluation and assessment.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to customers based on evaluation results, helping them make informed decisions and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including curriculum developers, adult educators, and support teams, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions for staff on best practices in assessment design and curriculum evaluation.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and trends in adult learning, assessment, and evaluation, and disseminate this knowledge across the institute.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on curriculum quality and evaluation outcomes to senior management.
  • Undertake any other duties, including cross-divisional projects or events, as assigned by the Executive Director.
