SPECIALIST ASSET MANAGEMENT – RAIL (SCS) – 13-MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

  • This role offers flexibility based on your location:
  • Residential (Karratha/Dampier): Standard 40-hour week
  • FIFO (Perth to Karratha): 5/2 or 4/3 roster, 50-hour week

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Planning Superintendent you will:

  • Understand the current state of the Asset Management processes against the Rio Tinto asset management standards.
  • Proactive focused on-site performance against Asset Management processes and procedures.
  • Utilise available diagnostic tools to analyse site performance, gaps, asset risk and provide insights to site leaders.
  • Support site leadership to develop actions to breach the gap between current and desired state of Asset Management processes and asset risk.
  • Support site leaders with the development of the annual site Asset Management Improvement Plan and monitor progress.
  • Participate in annual and Strategic planning for site, partnering with functional teams on first line assurance activities.
  • Engage regularly with site Leadership to understand medium and long-term priorities for optimising Asset Management.
  • Provide on the job coaching of site leadership to clarify their role in Asset Management processes and asset risk.
  • Ensure good Asset Management practices are understood, consistently implemented and sustained across rail, port and utilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and work as a trusted partner to influence and coach positive changes in Asset Management, processes and AM Practices.
  • Actively align with the Leading the Rio Tinto Way guidance; demonstrating the values, behaviours and actions required of a leader in our business.
  • Communicate with Central teams to provide site perspectives and input to enhance the current suite of Asset Management tools and processes.
  • Communicate with Central teams to provide site perspective and input into the development of new Asset Management tools. Assist with UAT.
  • Must have SAP competence.
