Description

Reporting to the Civil Engineer, the specialsit BIM - Engineer will span from the initial conceptualisation to the final construction phase and will be following site maintenance. More specifically, you will:

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders;
  • Ensure a seamless integration of BIM technology throughout the project;
  • Act as coordinator, managing digital models, and contributing to design optimisation;
  • Play a major role in data management, overseeing the creation, organisation, and maintenance of digital models;
  • Promote effective communication and information exchanges;
  • Streamline project workflows, reducing errors and improving overall performance and efficiency;
  • Responsible for managing project outputs like drawings and documents;
  • Provide continuous support to the Project team and coordinate with Operation;
  • Engage in detailed analysis and documentation;
  • Harness BIM tools to conduct simulations, clash detection, and performance analysis, providing valuable insights for project optimisation. The documentation ensures that every aspect of the project is recorded, creating a digital footprint for future reference.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in a relevant field
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in BIM engineer;
  • Develop high-precision 3D models using BIM software
  • Work in diverse construction environments like commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare-related projects;
  • Ability to work independently with little direction;
  • Ability to easily express oneself and to articulate one’s ideas;
  • Bilingual in French and English; Proficiency in English is required for this position, as the incumbent will be required to interact with our English-speaking clients, partners, and suppliers;
  • Excellent professionalism and work ethic;
  • Good sense of priorities and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledge and ease of use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.);
  • Successful completion of the investigation and security clearance process required by the federal government’s Contract Security Program.
